go here - it's the best tutorial, i've ever seen, so for sure it help you learn the basics. but there are some things i don't like in it, so that's why i'll give you some tips:
1. in step when you're creating the mask layer, you must lower the opacity of that black mask layer, to something between 30% or 60% (it depends from a picture, it can also be higher or not even changed - just look and see what fits in a best way) - 61% in this case. it will make it look more natural. now you should also marge the image (result).
2. when you finish steps from that tutorial, duplicate the image and set upper layer as 'screen' at 30-40% (result).
3. then you should go to layer > new adjustment layer > selective colouring and play with it (especially with yellows and neutrals). for example:
yellows:
black: -25%
neutrals:
cyan: -5%
magenta: -9%
yellow: -14%
black: +3%
blacks:
black: +20%
then go to layer > new adjustment layer > saturation and change saturation to -8 (result).

next steps are for me pretty optional, since i'm doing them in other way. and now i show you how :)

1. i've changed her top by covering it with white and then setting it as colour at 67 % (result).
2. i guess her eyes got already nice eye-color, so i won't change it. but if you want to, just do same things as i did in my colorization tutorials, since i'm doing things in the same way.
3. final step is to sharp the image a bit, and to do so duplicate the image and go to filter > sharpen > sharp more and set it as 51% (result).
4. at this point this retouch is finished. of course you can again change colors in selective coloring but it's optional (final result).
5. oh, and remember that creating good retouch takes time - you won't create anything good in 15 minutes. just spend a while on it :)
